Quality system in accordance with GMP-HACCP (Certificat GMP+ Schaffelaarbos)
Of course the egg powders Schaffelaarbos produces and sells meet the basic quality requirements, meet the legal requirements (Animal food legislation) and meet the requirements of the GMP and HACCP standards of the PDV (Product Board Animal Feed). GMP stands for 'Good Manufacturing/Managing Practice' and HACCP for 'Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points'. Also, the quality must satisfy the high expectations of our consumers. To guarantee this all, Schaffelaarbos has set up an acknowledged quality system in accordance with GMP+ (= GMP+HACCP) with the following range: purchase, storage, production, sale and distribution.

Constant quality
The production of egg powder takes place at Schaffelaarbos in Barneveld on a modern installation, guaranteeing an end product of constant and high quality. The company has two spray dry towers. The eggs which we purchase on several locations in Europe, all have an excellent quality. The same qualification applies to the total process: breaking the eggs, spray drying the liquid egg and packaging the end product. The fragrance and taste of fresh eggs are thereby preserved. Dyes and aromas are not added. Nevertheless, the egg powder of Schaffelaarbos has a clear, yellow colour and a pleasant fragrance.

Excellent technical supplies combined with the wide experience and know-how, has made Schaffelaarbos a company to excel in its specialism. To guarantee the constant high quality, we continuously have internal and external controls of raw materials, production process and end product.

Biogenic amines in a number of egg powders
Biogenic amines are good indicators for the freshness of the egg. The so-called BAI (biogenic amines index) is used as a parameter for freshness. Regularly, we compare this index with other suppliers.
