Schaffelaarbos,
the beginning
The company, established in the autumn of 1953,
has initially started as a chick hatchery. During
the eighties it passed from father to sons,
whereupon it considerably grew. Later on, from
a business point of view, the most important
activity of the company changed to the production
of egg powder.
Modernization and extension
Schaffelaarbos started with breaking eggs in
November 1987. In 1994 the construction started
of the new modern factory, which was brought
into use in 1996. In the course of time the
turnover has increased enormously and the number
of customers grew rapidly, both nationally and
internationally. The largest export countries
are Germany and Spain, mainly for production
for piglet food and dog food. In the near future
we expect to extend the factory with a third
spray dry tower.
